About Albuquerque Residents Directory

Albuquerque does not have one current book that identifies every household. A useful records search instead joins the Bernalillo County property and recorded-document systems, New Mexico access rules, and the old city directories held by local libraries. Albuquerque Residents Directory is a private reference that helps identify the correct official or archival route for a name, address, parcel, or past household.

Why This Site Exists

Local directory research often starts in different places depending on the date and detail known. The Bernalillo County Assessor can connect an address to a PARID and legal description. The County Clerk's recorder index can identify recorded instruments. New Mexico voter and court systems have their own access limits. Special Collections and UNM resources hold city directories, maps, phone books, newspapers, and genealogy material for historical questions. We organize those separate routes around practical questions so users can approach the right custodian with a more precise request.

What Is Collected Here

The reference brings together the record paths, location-specific access details, and cautions supported by public research.

  • Directory paths: the Street Directory for address-keyed records, the City Directory for historical volumes, and the Resident Lookup for a one-person verification path
  • Public custodians: the Assessor, County Clerk, courts, City departments, the Secretary of State, NMDOH, libraries, and archives
  • Search methods: parcel, legal-description, document-number, date, court, and directory-year workflows
  • Access limits: New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act procedures, restricted records, and confidentiality protections

What We Cannot Do

Albuquerque Residents Directory is privately operated and has no affiliation with the City of Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, the State of New Mexico, a court, library, or records custodian. It cannot confirm a person's present location, retrieve or certify a government record, alter a public record, or provide legal advice. Only the office that keeps a record can answer a correction, certification, or formal-access request.

  • We cannot establish that a person currently occupies a particular address.
  • We cannot obtain, certify, or correct a County, City, court, or state record.
  • We cannot add someone to or remove someone from a governmental database.
  • We cannot resolve a property, probate, court, or records dispute.
  • We cannot promise that every external portal, coverage statement, fee, or office detail is current.

Only the record custodian can verify, certify, or correct its materials. Information here is not for FCRA-regulated decisions.
